Scapegoat have made a veritable science out of each category of industrial music- ambient, experimental, noise, drones, loops. tribal, magical, etc. That is also the mission of the Scapegoat project, to expound on interconnecting theories of magic and science, showing that they are different, yet one and the same. Musically this is the challenge as well, to mix these styles with these messages. Scapegoat is a force that is cosmic in scope, yet grounded in a magical reality that is from times past- or times yet to come?
Scapegoat began in the early 1990's. It was in a dark building, during the twilight hours...Inspired by Legion, Lustmord, Controlled Bleeding, Inade, Ain Soph, Zero Kama, LAShTAL and other ritual and dark ambient sounds, Scapegoat combines these feelings and ideals with their own unique sounds. Scapegoat use electronics and acoustic instruments, and a great deal of their sounds are supplied by the ambience of the dark world around us in various locales, as well as their own voices. Material will range from noise to lush ambient sounds. From the eclectic forces named here, you can see
