Scarlet Slipping began in 1995 at age 17 under the name “The Dragon Queen”. This was a performance of half nude gory theatrics featuring Wagner’s vocals backed by her electronic drum programming and synths.
Soon thereafter the project toned down to more of a cabaret type performance and the project was renamed “Scarlet Slipping”.
In 1996 Scarlet Slipping opened for Santa Barbara darkwave band Trance To The Sun while they toured promoting their latest release 'Venomous Eve'. Soon after Wagner joined Trance To The Sun and was the fronting vocalist for the 1997 release 'Delirious' followed by a mini tour of the West coast. Wagner departed TTTS and has continued her work with the Scarlet Slipping project.
All music and recordings are self produced in Minneapolis and Scarlet Slipping is now one of the founding bands on Shinto Records.
